Project/Proposal Summary:
MSI is seeking experienced trainers to contribute short-term technical assistance to a Professional and Organizational Development program for USAID public-health professionals.
Position Summary: This position will provide training and facilitation in support of the Global Health Professional and Organizational Development (POD) program, working closely with a project director, other technical and administrative staff, consultants, and implementing partners based in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities: • Design and deliver training sessions ranging from a few hours to one week;• Adopt and apply state-of-the-art practices in training, coaching, facilitation, and other POD areas to continually improve program performance and effectiveness;• International travel required.
Qualifications: • Minimum ten years of experience with international development, USAID, and/or international public health;
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Organizational Development, Human Resources or other related field;
• Extensive experience with and current knowledge of adult learning, training design and delivery, instructional design, facilitation, and related fields;
• Subject-matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: leadership/management/supervision topics, project management, personal and team effectiveness and productivity, and international public health topics;• Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as the ability to work independently as well as in team situations; • Fluency in a second language, particularly French, a plus.
