The Assistance Coordination Unit, the humanitarian coordination arm of the Syrian National Coalition for Revolution and Opposition Forces, is seeking a Digital Media Officer to develop and maintain a dedicated website and implement multi-channel digital initiatives to raise awareness of the organisation’s humanitarian, medical, and other assistance in Syria. S/he will be responsible, inter alia, for creating the organisation's digital architecture and ensuring the optimal performance of the website, uploading content, monitoring constantly and trouble-shooting performance issues immediately. S/he will also be responsible for taking the lead on the implementation of the organisation’s digital strategy and for developing and disseminating content across digital platforms. This will include moderating social media sites and conveying coherent and consistent messages and themes about the organisation’s humanitarian assistance across social media and other sites. The Digital Media Officer will be based in Turkey and will report to the Advocacy Manager of the organisation.
Qualified applicants must have at least three years of work experience developing and executing successful online marketing or social media programs, and proficiency with the strategic use of Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and other emerging community platforms. Candidate must demonstrate fluency in written and oral Arabic and English.Knowledge of programming/coding languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP is a plus. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in communications, computer sceience, or a related field. Syrian nationals strongly preferred.
