The Resources Development Manager (GAM) – Mali will provide leadership in the acquisition of and reporting on new non-sponsorship projects (grants, corporate funds, and major donor funds) so that World Vision can expand and improve contributions to child well-being Mali through increased revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Lead the implementation of national resource acquisition strategy; and provide leadership towards goals set by the SMT on annual basis to realize the goal, ensuring alignment of grant funding with National Office (NO) strategy.
• Pro-actively identify grants opportunities by developing a detailed knowledge of country level donor environment (mulitalterals, bilaterals, corporates, etc.), funding mechanisms, guidelines and procedures, including eligibility requirements, and donor calls for proposals keeping updates with the changes in the funding landscaping.
• Lead the NO capacity building process in grants resource acquisition and management, carrying out capacity assessment to identify gaps, and develop capacity building plans including hiring and leading a resource mobilization team.
• Forge strong partnerships with local and international NGOs, associations and foundations etc. to create opportunities for complementarity, consortiums, coordination and information sharing, etc.
• Identify and build strong relationships with donors and funding agencies (local and international); represent World Vision Mali in forums of strategic significance to the resource development goals; and lead towards placing WVML among key players and respected partners working with major donors.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Must have a university degree in relevant field (development, technical sector, communications) or relevant equivalent experience
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong track record in designing and writing winning proposals and reporting writing experience
• Knowledge of bilateral, multilateral and foundation donors
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills in English
• Excellent skills in speaking, reading and writing in English. (Highly desired: strong French oral and written skills).
