Scope of Work
Integrity is implementing a research and evaluation project, VIOLA, analysing the evolution of emerging local governance and civil society entities in Syria. We are seeking to recruit a project manager to manage the team of researchers, data manager, report writer and Q&A expert, and oversee the completion of two monthly reports. The project manager will coordinate between UK-based management and field researchers, supervising team movements and security procedures. The project manager will be based in Beirut and work closely with the Lebanon Country Director and under the supervision of Integrity’s Head of Operations. The applicant must be able to travel both in the region and to the UK.
Competencies:
- Experience managing teams
- Experience working in or on conflict or post-conflict environment
- Remote management skills (the team members are based in different countries)
- Experience managing complex projects
- Knowledge of Syria
- Thematic experience with civil society and emerging governance
- Experience with stakeholder mapping and analysis
- Developed analytical skills
- Knowledge of research methodology and best practices
Education:
- Degree from an accredited University
Personal skills:
- Reliable and flexible
- Experience in remotely managing a large team of researchers
- Ability to function under pressure and respect tight deadlines
Communication skills:
- Experience working with international clients and policy-makers
- Strong communication skills
Language skills:
- Proficiency in English
- Arabic is an asset
