Shelter Centre is currently looking for a motivated Intern to join its young, dynamic and committed team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the content management of the Shelter and Settlement Library (SSL). The SSL is the world’s largest inter-agency, online, user-generated library for shelter and settlement, designed to serve as a global clearinghouse for regional humanitarian knowledge. The successful candidate will undertake a detailed review of the newly developed content and complete website updates.
This internship is also a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to gain invaluable experience into the way in which smaller NGOs and indeed larger Organisations operate.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Interested in humanitarian work
- Ability to work flexibly in a small, innovative and dynamic team
- Excellent research, writing and editing skills
- Fluent English (minimum Level C1 proficiency)
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including strong command of MS Office programmes
- Experience with Content Management Systems (Drupal preferred)
- Computer graphic design skills, with experience with InDesign, Photoshop, etc. – desirable
- Website development experience – desirable
- NGO experience - desirable
Available to start as soon as possible
Job Duration: Minimum of 2 months
