Following significant investment in CARE International UK’s (CIUK’s) humanitarian and emergencies unit we are currently recruiting for a Humanitarian Programme Team Leader. Responsible for the oversight and management of a large portfolio of contracts the post holder will ensure the provision of high quality technical input to CARE country offices globally. A key aspect of this role will be to assist the head of unit in representation of CIUK in global and UK fora. The post-holder will manage the deployments of their team members, and will on occasions also deploy during large rapid onset emergencies.
You will have a strong track record of managing humanitarian programmes and teams in a variety of humanitarian crises together with knowledge of current trends and discussions in humanitarian action. In addition you will have sound knowledge of donor regulations as well as having the ability to work effectively with other teams and able to work well under pressure. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and demonstrated experience in representation.
