We are planning to apply to the KfW financed project: "Treatment and Prevention of Polio Cases". The purpose of the Project is to improve diagnosistics and treatment of newly occurring cases of AFC (acute flaccid paralysis) or Polio through timely correct laboratory diagnosis, and intensive care and improvement of the efficacy of Polio vaccines by delivering Polio vaccines and improving the cold chain in the Republic of Tajikistan. Specifically the activities include beside a profound trainign program:
-Revision of the already developed architectural plans for a clinical laboratory with an entero-virus section (BSL 2 level)
- Rehabilitation and restructuring of the intensive pediatric care ward, isolation ward, and neurological department within one building; rehabilitation of the water supply system, sewerage, and heating system.
- Procurement and installation of the medical and non-medical equipment, and if necessary laboratory reagents for the different services for at least one year after installation of the new laboratory equipment.
- Procurement and installation of the cooling, transport and storage equipment for the cold chain for Polio vaccines throughout the country.
- Advice to the MoH
Requirements:
-university degree in architecture / construction engineering
-at least 7 years of professional experience construction of hospitals preferrably including intensive pediatric ward and isolation ward
- experience in construction/rehabilitation of at least 1 medical laboratory
-good English language skills (writing, speaking, understanding)
-working experience with an international organisation would be an advantage
-Tajik national
