Position Description:Function as a primary team member of the evaluation team for two GEAR UP evaluation grants: 1) state level grant with 3 sites; 2) partnership grant with 1 siteParticipate and engage in weekly internal meetings and weekly client conference callsResponsible for completion of quantitative data analysis and written reports of resultsMeet deliverable due dates as determined by FHI 360 staff team and the clientExpected to attend 2-3 site visits, on a quarterly basis, to help conduct interviews and focus groups, and participate in report review discussions with clientEngage in discussions regarding the development of evaluation questions and the feasibility of the evaluation plan, as needed throughout the project termDesign and create data analysis plans, carry out data analysis, and write quarterly reports as part of the evaluation teamMust be proficient in the use of SPSS and be able to:Import files from Excel and merge and restructure data files as appropriateDetermine necessary data analysis to answer evaluation questions & conduct the analyses (analyses will range from descriptive and simple comparisons to some multivariate analyses)Responsible for the following deliverables:Quarterly reports for all PA sitesSummative report for partnership grantMinimal Requirements:Master’s degree plus 5-8 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application; or BS/BA in education or related field and 8+ years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application.Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage high volume work flow.Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.Knowledge of education research methodology as related to data collection instruments, data collection and analysis.Knowledge of statistical methods used in data analysis.Knowledge of and ability to use electronic data processing systems to gather, store, retrieve and analyze data.*Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience sufficient to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job.
