Your roleWe are now looking for an Accountability Development Officer (maternity cover) to facilitate the embedding of accountability within CAFOD’s international development and humanitarian work. This will involve working closely with programme teams to ensure that accountability and participatory approaches & methods are key elements of project and programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. It will also involve taking forward initiatives to support CAFOD’s accountability to partners, as well as reporting on our accountability work to the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP).

Your profileYou will have an in-depth understanding of the HAP standard and its practical application within an NGO, together with practical, field-based experience of participatory approaches and methods within a development and/or humanitarian context. Experience in overseas programme management and practical experience of implementing complaints handling mechanisms would be of significant benefit.Come and join us and help make a real difference in the lives of the world’s poorest communities.
