Background: NRC is supporting the Ministry of Education as well as UNICEF in Jordan to ensure that Syrian school-age refugee children receive quality education services within temporary learning spaces in in Al Zaatari Camp. There is a need to further motivate and engage the parents of the students in promotion of school enrolment, regular attendance and completion of quality education for all the children, boys and girls. NRC is seeking to immediately hire highly motivated staff for a one-month duration with continuation based upon performance.

Responsibilities: - Oversight and coordination of the Education Monitors and Community Mobilizers in terms of regular and systematic reporting on the status and progress of students school attendance; school environment upkeep; and parental engagement - Responsible for liaising with and reporting to UNICEF and NRC on all matters pertaining to the TOR of the position- Ensuring that standardized tools and reporting mechanisms are adhered to by the Education Monitors and Community Mobilizers in conducting their work- Responsible for ensuring overall daily reporting of data and information - Responsible for analysis of the education data and information and in making timely recommendations for areas of improvement concerning the temporary school sites as well as parental mobilization

Skills and Qualifications Required:- A degree in teaching or the social sciences relevant to teaching and /or the administration and management of basic education- At least 3 years of experience with teaching or management of basic education activities- Excellent communication skills and experience with supervision and coordination of staff- Excellent organizational and planning skill- Experience with education data and information collection, reporting and analysis - Set-up of mechanism for record keeping of school as well as community outreach data and information- Excellent translation and writing skills in English and Arabic- Good knowledge of Word, Excel computer programmes- Prior experience working with international and local organizations in support of refugees or IDPs, is an asset
