Fiji: Regional Health Coordinator: Pacific Regional Health Program

The position supports the Fiji and Cook Islands Red Cross National Societies to implement a regional health program in a responsive and participatory way. The purpose of the technical advisor's position is to provide technical support and advice to the Federation of Red Cross and the Cook Islands Red Cross health teams and management to ensure the project is implemented, monitored and reported on in accordance with project guidelines. This project is a three-year engagement which supports integrated community-based programming by strengthening needs assessment and streamlining approaches between Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Risk Reduction and health. You will report to the Australian Red Cross Pacific Programs Manager.
The scheduled length of the mission is for 12 months, confirmed until end of June 2014 and dependent on continued funding from July. The preferred start date is commencing February 2014.
