AVR Facilitator
Background on CTG Global

Background of PositionConduct community liaison, outreach, data collection, education and reporting duties, as directed by the Project Supervisor, to ensure the successful implementation of project activities. AVR facilitators are trained primarily as field-based staff trained to deploy a variety of education tools, including Conflict Management Education, Mine Risk Education, Firearms Safety Education, Community Police Dialogue and other community-based skills as required.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the AVR Project Supervisor, the AVR Facilitator will:Programme
• Travel to target locations as tasked by the project supervisor, staying overnight as required• Conduct liaison, data collection and education activities in target locations as laid out in the project work plan.• Attend training courses as required and achieve satisfactory reports of progress• Conduct specific education classes as directed by the project supervisor and in accordance with the assistant’s level of skill and experience• Provide the AVR Project Supervisor with inputs for project work plans if required.• Attend daily tasking and debriefing meetings with AVR project supervisor• Provide inputs for internal monitoring to Project Supervisor as required• Take on other duties as required by the Project Supervisor to achieve project objectivesAdministration• Adhere to DDG policies and procedures at all times• Keep simple electronic records of field work to assist with reporting• Coordinate with Project Supervisor to plan vehicle movements efficientlyFinancial• Provide requisite receipts and paperwork for any financial expenditure• Provide inputs for budget planning as requested
Minimum Requirements• Mali National• Secondary education with additional experience • Previous experience in development-related organisation• Strong inter-personal and communication skills• Ability to work unsupervised for 2-3 days at a time.• Ability to work proactively and with initiative.• Commitment to delegation of responsibility and a team approach.• Flexible, self-sufficient, reliable and trustworthy. • Experience of Microsoft Office programmes.• Strong numeracy skills• Fluent knowledge of English and French (verbal and written) is a must.
Preferred • Diploma• Previous work experience in area of teaching, or community-based development• IT skills relevant to NGO work, such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
