Oxfam Sierra Leonne has an exciting opportunity for MEAL Coordinator within its Programme. The successful candidate will assist SL programme team in the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning strategy and to monitor the extent to which the projects are meeting its objectives. The candidate will also play a key role in building the capacity of the Sierra Leone M&E Officer on the tools developed to ensure sustainability of the system.

The successful candidate will

  • Closely work with Programme Managers to ensure that systems are aligned and closely follow OI Minimum standards and other guiding principles;
  • Assist with developing an ESP logic model, M&E framework, accountability and learning tools and data collection, management and analysis;
  • Assist with developing logic models, M&E frameworks, accountability and learning tools and data collection, management and analyses for all ESP projects;
  • Train UWT and other relevant staff and partners on M&E processes, tools and analysis;
  • Develop templates for case studies, success stories and other qualitative data collection methods;
  • Work with program staff to design the qualitative and quantitative tools on MEAL and develop a MEAL implementation plan at each location;
  • Develop comprehensive MEAL guidelines to be taught and implemented at partner level;
  • Ensure proper MEAL coordination and streamlining structures between Oxfam and partners are in place;
  • Assist with strengthening the accountability mechanisms at project level;
  • Train project teams on using analysed data to inform program quality control, document lessons leant and future project development;
  • Train M&E officer on all MEAL tools and processes;
  • Contribute to timely and quality reporting of SL programme;
  • Produce clear and quality reports that demonstrate accountability and learning;
  • Collect best practices, case studies which demonstrate qualitative and quantitative changes over the period;
  • Ensure proper documentation of MEAL processes;
  • Facilitating capacity building process of the partners on MEAL issues;
  • Conduct reviews, learning events, surveys at project locations; and
  • Delivering any other responsibility assigned by the line manager.
