1) Rationale and context of the assignment. IBIS is in need of a Broadcast Technical Specialist to provide oversight of video post-production and equipment service, planning and related support to the IBIS broadcast operation.

2) Responsibilities:- Coordinate the planning, specification, installation and maintenance of UNICEF’s media production infrastructure- Advise on workflow, archiving and other procedures for the video and audio production group, and support video producers and editors and their editing stations.- Advise on new technologies relevant to video and audio production, distribution and syndication systems support implementation as needed.- Build and maintain final cut work stations and Mac Pro Tools suites video and radio production- Coordinate installation of new equipment and new software solutions- Support and maintain Final Cut Server along with related equipment and software- Support post-production work as needed to include (but not limited to) studio and location video production, audio recording and editing, format conversions, and tape room support.- May work weekends

3) Tangible and measurable outputs/deliverables of work assignment: - Quality video post-production services.- Updated and maintained broadcast post-production equipment including an installation of a tape based backup system

4) Reports to: Executive Producer IBIS/DOC.

5) Qualifications or specialized knowledge/ experience required:- Extensive experience in radio and audio production- Ability to work in a variety of video and audio production styles (news, current affairs, advertising, corporate)- Ability to operate and support at a high level the video production, archiving, and editing equipment- Knowledge of industry standards for audio and video production.- Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure with minimal supervision.- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.- Willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment in a cooperative and professional manner.- Professional work ethic, integrity, and initiative.- Knowledge of international development issues a plus.- Knowledge of UN languages other than English a plus
