Shelter Centre is looking for a motivated intern to join its current CORE Training Team. The CORE Training Programme aims to enhance and improve global disaster response through high quality, open access humanitarian trainings. CORE aims to enhance and support existing worldwide training capacity to deliver humanitarian trainings in-line with global best practices
Required Experience:
Experienced professionals with the following skills are encouraged to apply:
Background in developing/delivering trainingExcellent research skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to draft, review and edit textsFluent English (minimum Level C1 proficiency)Ability to communicate with variety of stakeholders and conduct document review processesDemonstrated computer literacy, including strong command of MS Office programmesComputer graphic design skills, with experience with InDesign, Photoshop, etc. – desirableWebsite development experience – desirableProven ability to work flexibly in a small, innovative and dynamic teamPossession of strong organisational skillsTechnical expertise in engineering and/or architecture would be an assetNGO experience - desirableField experience - desirableAvailable to start as soon as possible
Conditions:
The intern position is located in Geneva, Switzerland. Shelter Centre will only consider applications from individuals from the EU, Switzerland and who possesses a valid permit which allows them to reside and undertake internships in Switzerland.
This position will be on a full time basis. Shelter Centre is not currently in a position to remunerate this internship. Candidates will have to baer their own accommodation and living costs and must also be able to commit themselves for a minimum of three months. Job Duration: 3 months
