CONTEXT
Asie Tana Inter Aide (ATIA) - a humanitarian organization from Inter Aide – has taken over the management of its programs that aim to promote access for the most vulnerable to development in urban areas. Among these programs ATIA has particularly been focused on the Philippines where Inter Aide has accompanied the families of the slums of Manila for the last fifteen years.
Since 2004, Inter Aide and more recently ATIA support its national partner EnFaNCE, whose team (15 persons) implements different activities towards the most vulnerable families via a «Dynamic Family Development»: • Psycho-social support to very precarious families, often confronted to psychosocial difficulties, by home visits and social office as well as referrals to existing organizations (health centres, schools, administrative services…);• Socio-economic support at permanent social centres and home-based individual or group follow-up: training in family budget promotion of money saving (« PPI »: Piso Piso Ipon) in partnership, for the banking part, with the national institution « Uplift ». Referrals to other local institutions (health centres, schools, vocational training establishments…);• Workshops and collective activities for families (training on health and education) in order to reinforce social bonds ;
In 2013, EnFaNCE accompanied approximately 100 families and 2.000 savers. ATIA seeks a Responsible of social activities to continue the support given to EnFaNCE.MISSION AND RESPONSABILITIES
The Responsible of social activities will be based in Manila (15 millions of inhabitants) and will do several travels in the slums targeted by the program. His/her principal missions will be to accompany the national partner EnFaNCE to autonomy. He/she will be in charge of: • The on-going training of the director of EnFaNCE (3-4 days per week);• The supervision and the strengthening of the national team (currently composed of 1 coordinator and her assistant, 1 administrator, 7 family agents);• The respect of the main objective of social accompaniment of the most vulnerable families;• The quality of the follow up and the trainings proposed;• The active collaboration with the web of national partners (city hall, social affairs department, Uplift, schools, health centres, associations…);• The financial and narrative reporting to be shared to the Responsible based at the headquarter of ATIA in Versailles (France) and directly to the donors who fund EnFaNCE;• Seek funds in order to finance the actions of EnFaNCE and prepare its financial autonomy;• Piloting the strategy of EnFaNCE with the support of its Executive Board;• The prospect of promising new exploration areas and partners interested in replicating the «Dynamic Family Development» (1-2 days per week).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Bachelor degree in a pertinent field (social work, management, economics...) with a real interest in social issues ;• Knowledge and experiences in social work and community implication (participative methods, animation…);• Previous experience in team management ;• Previous experience in a developing country ;• Organization, reactivity, skills in working under pressure, ability to prioritize ;• Good relationship, adaptability and team work skills; • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading) and in French a plus.
CONDITIONS
• Limited-duration contract for the first 6 months and then unlimited-duration contract • Moral commitment of 2 years expected• Net pay of 1.121 € per month (13 months a year) + living stipend• Social security + repatriation insurance + annual return airfare
