Position: Senior Finance Manager - Myanmar
Location: Yangon, Myanmar
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension up to one year)
Reports to: International Controller (Financial Reporting and Compliance) & Country Director (Administrative matters)

Position Summary: The Sr. Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the finance department of RI offices in Myanmar
Position Responsibilities and Duties:Works closely with the Country Director and other Program staff to implement, improve and maintain financial management policies, systems, structures, and procedures.Ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the finance office through supervision/management of the local Finance Officers.Conducts training sessions for Myanmar finance staff in audit preparation, field accounting, and procurements procedures.Plans and supervises work of the RI Myanmar finance and admin staff including tracking and monitoring of procurements and expenditures, maintains an office purchasing, inventory, and requisition system.Coordinates compiling of monthly financial reports for submission to the International Finance Controller Office and Country Director.Works closely with the Country Director and Program Managers to monitor project budgets.Assists project coordinators in ensuring compliance with RI procurements and field accounting policies and procedures, compliance with donor agreement and audit requirements.Works closely with project coordinators over the project implementation planning and cash flow projections.Prepares donor reports.Prepares budget revision in close coordination with project manager when necessaryMakes sure that financial records and backup documentation is ready for internal and external audits.Works closely with internal and external auditors.Ensures compliance with local Tax Law and tax reporting.Provide technical assistance to regional offices when required by direct supervisor
Qualifications & requirements:This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. B.A. or Masters degree in AccountingA minimum of 5-8 years experience in finance supervisory position, preferably with non –profit agencies.Strong background in working with US, UK government funded grants, UN, EU( including background knowledge on cost share), ECHO, projects financial and administrativeManagement experience preferred.Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.Strong knowledge of QBs multicurrency software is required.Excellent command of English language is mandatory.Ability to travel regionally- when required- to provide technical assistance.
