We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the Part-time position of Gaming Intern, Civil Society, and Peacebuilding, in Washington, DC.

Job Description:

FHI 360’s Civil Society and Peacebuilding Department (CSPD) strengthens the leadership, capacity, and credibility of national and community-based organizations and helps increase the transparency of government agencies at all levels. Our civil society programs enable citizens to solve their own problems and influence policy. Our peacebuilding experts use a variety of locally-owned, effective, and sustainable tools to bridge differences and bring peace to divided communities.CSPD has recently begun researching and applying social and civic gaming approaches in its work, and seeks a temporary (3-6 months, extension possible contingent on funding) Games Intern to perform the following functions in support of CSPD departmental business development and programs.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes, generates, and maintains reports, and other reference material on gaming for departmental use.Composes reports, spreadsheets, email, and memoranda from rough drafts or general instructions, involving the assembly of data from computer and paper file or record sources.Conducts special studies in conjunction with a project or initiative, analyzes data and makes recommendations based upon studies.Supports proposal development through research, writing, editing, formatting, and other tasks as appropriate.Performs other administrative and programmatic duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: At least one year of college experienceExpertise and experience in research, design, and application of gaming approaches for social and civic initiatives.Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.Experience with international programs, US Government rules and regulations preferred.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
