Chemonics seeks a chief of party and short and long-term technical experts for an anticipated five year, $20 million USAID-funded Climate Economic Analysis for Development Investment and Resilience (CEDAIR) project. CEDAIR will focus on increasing the capacity of partner governments, USAID missions, universities and research institutes, private companies, and civil society organizations to conduct and use economic analyses for global climate change mitigation and adaptation and mobilize investment capital for low-emission development strategies (LEDS). We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Chemonics seeks candidates for the following positions:
- Chief of party
- Technical advisor/analysis of investments in clean energy
- Technical advisor/analysis of investments in sustainable landscapes
- Technical advisor/economic analysis for low-emission development strategies
- Technical advisor/analysis of investments in climate change adaptation
- Technical advisor/identification of financing for climate change mitigation
Qualifications:
- Master's degree plus a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience, or Ph.D. plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience required
- Work experience in international development, including sectoral and regional experience
- Experience conducting research and demonstrated thought leadership in climate change, energy, or the relevant technical area of expertise
- Ability to work in effective partnership with USAID preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Proficiency in Spanish and English required; proficiency in French preferred
