Chemonics seeks a business information associate to support our Knowledge Management Department in meeting the information and knowledge sharing needs of staff companywide. The associate will serve as a resource to business development, practice, and executive staff in preparing reports, data, and charts on business intelligence. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the proposal database and performs related client/staff outreach and training. Produce semi-monthly proposal win rate data
- Perform quality assurance checks for the our partnership database and other internal market forecasting/analysis tools and collaborates with new business units and staff to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Serve as a resource to business development teams, technical practice groups, and executive staff in preparing reports, data, and charts on business intelligence, including competitor, market, and proposal information. Upon request, help with data compilation and analysis for strategic planning and special projects
- Train staff in tools, resources, and methods used to research foreign aid and legislative topics. Perform outreach and communicate the availability of these tools and resources to staff at large
- Research Chemonics’ competitors and help to develop appropriate tracking tools and reports for the executive management team and business development staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum one year of administrative and/or technically relevant work experience preferred, with ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues
- Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
- Willingness to work overseas for up to four to eight weeks per year and to consider long-term overseas assignments
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in HTML and web technology; database skills highly desired
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
