Restless Development Sierra Leone is driving forward an ambitious agenda in Sierra Leone through its 5 Year Strategy (2011-2016) which will see its highly acclaimed programmes Youth Leadership and Employment Programmes (YLEP) continue to deliver quality and effective services for young people. Importantly, Restless Development Sierra Leone is placing priority on maintaining and implementing programmes which underpins quality planning and development.
The Youth Leadership and Employment Programme Manager will lead our Business Development Service and Career development work alongside managing Restless Development Alumni leadership work. He/she will be based in Freetown engaging with young people and ensuring that issues affecting them are receiving required attention by employers, donors, partners and decision makers. The position will manage urban programmes implemented by Restless Development in Freetown, Kono, Bo and Makeni. We are therefore looking for a result oriented and dynamic professional with excellent communication with a talent to innovate, lead by example and inspire high performance- to lead the YLEP unit to deliver the unit’s projects in line with the strategic direction of the organization's National Strategy.
The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to lead and take forward the highly acclaimed programmes of the YLEP unit to deliver quality and effective services for young people. She/he will be a team player with strong background on youth leadership and employment issues and have the ability to work with young people ensuring programme quality underpins all programme planning, development and implementation. The role will require determination, being a team player and a strong attention to detail.
