AfID’s partner organisation is a social enterprise which puts its profits towards the rehabilitation of street children in Sierra Leone.
You will be the second volunteer on placement. Our first volunteer assessed the financial processes, systems and controls and made changes to these and the organisational structure based on the expected growth of the organisation and the capability of the staff. We have had a request from our partner for another long-term volunteer (at least 3 months). They are continuing to experience growth and would like further support in embedding the processes and controls; they would also like advice on potential ventures and opportunities for growth.
There will be opportunity firstly to see how the team has been getting on since the previous volunteer and make changes to processes, controls and templates as required; there will be an opportunity to train and mentor the staff in embedding existing and new processes; and finally, the opportunity to use your business experience in exploring opportunities for growth and ensuring they are well-set as an organisation to deal with the growth.
For this placement our partner will be happy to cover the cost of your accommodation, food, airport pick-up and drop-off.
The placement is for 3 months and to start ASAP.
