The Program Officer, WV Mali will provide technical assistance to the Humanitarian Emergency Affairs (HEA) team in the program design, grant acquisition, implementation, evaluation and reporting for all the projects and programs under WV HEA.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Participate in actual project design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Support Project Managers to produce professional and high quality management reports for major donors in a timely manner, meeting donor reporting requirements.
• Assist in annual operating plan preparation including: design, needs assessment, proposal writing, marketing, evaluation and reporting.
• Monitor funding status for each sector of the program to identify possible funding gaps and ensure smooth transitions from one grant to the next.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Educational level: University degree development studies or related field. Masters preferred.
• Technical Training qualifications: Understanding of humanitarian sector. Experience with program proposals and reporting. Experience with bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
