As Tenders Manager, you will be responsible for leading bid processes, representing Plan’s initiatives and programme learning to new and existing institutional donors and partners and contributing to the achievement of stretch income targets.
You will enhance systems and processes to track opportunities and prepare and submit tenders across a range of sectors and countries. You’ll also be responsible for supporting direct reports to improve impact and achieve objectives on time and on budget for a portfolio of overseas projects, in compliance with donor standards and internal processes.
We’re looking for someone with experience of managing tenders (£5m+) to secure international development funds. You will have the ambition and ability to develop new partnerships and secure funding from new and existing donors. In particular, we’d like you to have experience of winning large DfID tenders and knowledge of the current donor funding and accountability landscape. You should have excellent people management and motivational skills, including experience of coaching and providing technical support to colleagues.
Excellent verbal and written English at first language level / at the level of a native speaker is required. You will have several years’ experience of international development work in the global south.
Plan’s approach is child-centred, so experience of child-centred programming will be an advantage, and you will be expected to demonstrate awareness of child protection issues.
As there is a market premium rate for this post (Grade 2) the recruitment rate will be circa £42,000.
