The roleTo establish communities of practice that promote knowledge sharing, learning and innovation and support country offices in the promotion of gender equality, good governance and inclusion. To enable consistency and coherence in VSOs programmatic work that promotes inclusion and participation of marginalised communities in particular, women and people with disabilities, in their own development and decision making. This includes its alignment to relevant aspects of VSOs Theory of Change, and its interpretation within a holistic approach to development. To ensure internal quality standards are aligned with external quality measures and best practice allowing VSO to deliver on its commitments to key stakeholders. To use knowledge and expertise of VSO programming to support fundraising activities including raising funds for the work of Policy Group.YouThe successful candidate must have: Experience of direct work in the Secure Livelihoods arena in Low HDI countries; supporting planning and implementation of programmes at all levels. Experience of working in a developing country. Understanding of current issues and trends in secure livelihoods area, demonstrates skills and knowledge at equivalent level to a post-graduate qualification. Analytical thinking and ability to plan strategically from an organisational perspective. Able to adapt communication style to different contexts and audiences, including internal and external stakeholders, presents complex information in a user-friendly way, both verbally and in writing. Experience of project management i.e. planning, review, and evaluation of grass roots- development work. Experience of supporting programmes & measuring impact. Able to handle complex workload including doing own administration. Commitment to VSO’s vision, purpose and values, particularly Secure livelihoods. Demonstrates understanding of the principles of project funding and past experience of generating funds. Able to motivate, manage and develop colleagues; self motivated.Team working skills: able to build strong working relationships across a large complex global area, and work collaboratively as a member of several teams
