United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Resourcing Advisor, London

Organization: Amnesty
Country: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Closing date: 18 Sep 2013

£35,292

The International Secretariat of Amnesty International is seeking an expert recruiter to join the busy international resourcing team. The suitable candidate will have experience across the full resourcing spectrum including stakeholder management, job design, internal resourcing, redeployment management, international recruitment, relocation and immigration.

We require an enthusiastic, collaborative, flexible and dedicated colleague to meet the challenging and high volume demands of the organization. The International Secretariat is currently undertaking the first phase of a global decentralization change programme. As a result of this, in addition to the business as usual resourcing needs, the team are currently tasked with finding the best candidates to join offices across Africa and Asia by the end of the year. In 2014 the focus is expected to move to the Americas and other areas within Asia with new vacancies arising in those regions.

The team are currently amidst a high volume of advertising and shortlisting, with a wave of assessments, interviews, offers, immigrations and relocations to follow. To meet this need we have recently adapted our structure. A Resourcing Assistant and Resourcing Coordinator are tasked with delivering to recruitment needs while the Resourcing Advisor will work across two key strands: providing the organization with timely, strategic, compliant and yet creative recruitment plans; and ensuring all the elements exist for the team to provide a value add service.

The initial focus of the Resourcing Advisor post will be on system and process re-engineering along with assessment design, enabling the resourcing delivery team to work with increasing efficiency and to deliver best practice assessments. During this period the Adviser will build relationships across the organization, developing advance resourcing plans to respond to workforce needs for the upcoming year. In 2014 the Advisor and Assistant will work with the organization to meet all international resourcing needs.

You will want to join our team if you are driven to be a part of Amnesty’s mission, if you enjoy improving resourcing processes, collaborating with colleagues of all levels, if you thrive on challenges including those of volume, and are unfazed by the need to switch your thinking between detail and strategy whatever the situation.

This is an important time for Amnesty International, the work that we do now to help establish these offices will have a lasting effect. We need a team who are driven to ensure that Amnesty retains and attracts the best staff to deliver ever more impactful work.

If this sounds like a mission you would like to be a part of please do go to our website where you can see the wide range of roles to which the team are currently recruiting and of course make your own application.
