Function of the Position: This is a full –time position, providing administrative support to the EC Team in the London based office and act as proposal coordinator for active bidding opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:New Business Development
• Organise team meetings and take minutes• Act as proposal coordinator for active bidding opportunities, which will include keeping schedules, taking part in planning, overseeing logistics, facilitating communication, conducting research and assisting in the recruitment of project staff;• Keep abreast of changes to tendering requirements for key clients (EC, DFID, EBRD, IFC), including maintaining records of standard compliance documents;• Maintain online business opportunity tracker and keep up-to-date records of the status of new business opportunities;• Carry out formatting and review of proposals in coordination with the DAI Publications Department;• Capture information on clients and partners for database;• Support Proposal Managers in keeping abreast of DAI’s key areas of strategic technical importance by monitoring seminars and conferences and sourcing relevant publications;• Provide logistical support for reconnaissance efforts in target countries and keep the DAI reconnaissance tracker up to date;• Facilitate information sharing within the business development team, with other DAI offices and external partners, including maintenance of electronic and hard-copy filing systems;• Coordinate marketing materials, including providing timely updates to the DAI Communications Department;• Provide support to the organisation of seminal/ marketing/ promotional events and meetings.Corporate Initiatives• As needed, represent DAI at conferences or other public events• Participate in cross-sector process improvements
Basic Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: • Fluency in English (written and spoken)• Detail-orientated and systematic• Exceptional organizational skills are required• Strong interpersonal, communication and motivation skills• Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment • Willing to travel• Minimum bachelor degree in International Development, Economics or related field
Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in at least one other language of the EU, specifically French, Spanish and/or Portuguese• Proven experience supporting consulting services or international development projects• Experience working with the EU
