The Assistance Coordination Unit, the humanitarian coordination arm of the Syrian National Coalition for Revolution and Opposition Forces, is seeking a qualified Financial Reporter for its Administration Department. The focus of the position is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, preparation of the trial balance, and delivery of efficient service to internal customers, while assuring that the business adheres to proper risk management standards.
Main Duties:- Overseeing the day to day accounting processes- Data entry of accounting transactions- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, Unit Policies, and internal guidelines- Liaise with Auditors - both statutory and internal - for timely and smooth completion of the audit- Daily Cash monitoring- Managing accounting and budgeting - Reporting to the donors- Preparation and reconciliation of all monthly financial reports ( balance sheet, activities statement , cash flow statement )- Comply with financial policies and procedures that have been approved by ACU financial administration- Coordinating , documenting and reporting to the financial manager at the main office in Gaziantep- Monthly expenses analysis- Perform any other duties as required
Qualifications:- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting- Bachelors Degree in Accounting- Syrian Certified Accountant “Certified Accounts Auditor” – Internal Auditor accredited by IIA institute – or Accredited by ACCA- Excellent computer skills (esp. MS Office applications)- Keen attention to detail- High organisation and prioritisation skills- Excellent administrative skills including using electronic and manual systems to organise, prioritise and keep track of information and work progress- Energetic, articulate, confident and personable- Ability to prepare clear, accurate, concise and effective reports- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information- Ability to meet high-pressure demands and tight deadlines- Ability to work effectively and positively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds - Very good command of Arabic and English (written, orally)
