PROPOSAL SUMMARY
IBTCI is currently seeking a Senior Capacity Development Advisor for a 5-year USAID funded health evaluation in Ghana.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be used throughout the life of the project. In pursuit of its goal, Evaluate for Health will produce the following outputs:• Strengthen capacity for M&E for USAID/Ghana, implementing partners, partner country government entities, and local NGOs active in the health sector to meet Mission strategic objectives and results;• Conduct and/or oversee implementation of robust M&E activities for USAID/Ghana’s health programs including designing, implementing, managing, and dissemination evaluation studies, assessments, and operations research.• Provide technical consultations and program implementation support for USAID/Ghana’s HPNO M&E activities;• Increase capacity of partner country decision-makers and technical personnel to design and implement M&E activities in the health sector at international standard, and to engage in evidence-based decision making;• Increase capacity of USAID/Ghana HPNO staff to design and manage M&E activities and to use evidence for informed decision-making;• Disseminate information through seminars, workshops, conference and working papers; and• Augment technical and programmatic M&E capacity available to USAID/Ghana.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in social sciences, adult education, or related field;• At least ten (10) years of progressive experience in designing and implementing capacity building projects. At least five (5) of these years should be in Africa;• At least two (2) years of experience implementing monitoring and evaluation activities;• At least five (5) years of experience in leading teams;• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal and team management skills;• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
