Overview:

Development Manager will provide direction, planning, and execution of fundraising and individual donor development related activities for Jhpiego. This will include major gift fundraising and serving as a liaison for multidisciplinary development efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee current individual donor reporting system
• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow individual donor campaign
• Plan, develop and execute strategies for attracting private donations
• Work with the Advisory Council on a regular basis for fundraising purposes such as unrestricted dollars, advocacy work, social events, speaking engagements, etc.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects
• Lead the strategic planning for activities that support relationships between the university and its * external constituents, such as trustees, alumni, donors, and friends which support private giving to Jhpiego
• Manage annual and special campaigns and major giving
• Coordinate several fund raising activities throughout the year
• Work with corporations to develop social marketing campaigns to benefit Jhpiego

Required Qualifications:

• BA with 5 years fundraising experience
• Familiarity with donor database applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of planned giving
• Proven track record of growing individual donor program for non-profit
• Proven track record of developing social marketing campaign with corporations to benefit non-profit
• Demonstrated success in activities to coordinate, attract, and close major gift funding support for a large non-profit organization, including face-to-face solicitation of gifts
