The role
Director of Program Development and Quality shares in the overall responsibility for the direction and coordination of the country program. The Director of Program Development and Quality in his/her capacity is responsible for Program Development, Quality, Capacity Building for different sectors, monitoring, evaluation and learning, research and innovation and policy review and development.

Qualifications and experience
• Masters degree in Social Sciences, in an area of social development
• 10 + years relevant programming experience, out of which 3 – 5 years should be with formulating and directing policy and leading advocacy initiatives at the macro-level.
• Good understanding of program development and experience in at least one of the key sectors: health; education; child protection; livelihood; emergency preparedness and response.
• Familiarity and experience in developing and implementing communication and campaign strategies
• Experience of developing and managing monitoring and learning systems.
• Good analytical skills. Effective negotiator, with the ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sectoral working.
• Networking - credibility to lobby, influence and represent Save the Children at all levels.
• High level of integrity.
• Resource Management, Training and capacity building, Coaching / Mentoring Skills.
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values
• High level of integrity.
