Base: Lilongwe with frequent mission travels to the various bases

Duration of the contract: 6 months renewable depending on financial condition – starting date: ASAP. (preferably by 1st of October 2012)

Job description

Support the head of bases and the project managers to plan logistics procurementIdentify the more cost effective suppliesResponsible of the procurement according the donors and COOPI rulesImprove, check, control correct, file and archive in hard and soft copies procurement documentation, logistic books, list of suppliers, assets inventory as per COOPI’s rulesFollow and ensure that all the legal aspects of importing and procurement of goods are properly respected, documented and filedEnsure timely transport of goods to the project implementation areaResponsible for the overall vehicles fleet management and maintenanceRevise security / safe assets in each bases as per COOPI directivesSupport the project management team during project proposal designSupport the Country administrator to prepare for auditing actionsAny other assignment requested by his /her supervisor

Key qualifications required

At least 5 years in relevant /similar position working with NGO or private sector.Minimum academic qualification: bachelor degree or a specialized technical diploma in a relevant fieldFully IT computer literatePractical knowledge in mechanics and / or electro-technics and photovoltaic system represent a very strong advantageLanguage skills

English (due to the language of the projects): perfectly fluent including writing

Italian (due to the amount of Italian suppliers): perfectly fluent both written and spoken

French and / or Chichewa are advantageousHow to apply:
