Job Summary:The Finance, HR & Admin Officer contributes to running the day to day financial, HR and administrative operations of Relief International (RI)’s programmes in Turkey. Responsibilities will include day to day cash management, voucher preparation, financial data entry, maintenance of HR employee files and other administrative duties, as well as providing assistance to the Country Finance Manager and the RI Turkey team. The Finance, HR & Admin Officer will assist the CFM to prepare monthly, quarterly and other required financial reports for Relief International. For the right candidate, there is the scope for development and progression to greater responsibilities within the organisation.

Job Description:

Preparation of vouchers on a daily basis, coding and entering into QuickBooksResponsibility for administration of bank and cash: maintenance of cash book, custodian of petty cash, preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for review by CFMMaintain payment vouchers and receipts in an organised filing system to allow a full audit trailAssist Country Finance Manager in preparation of cash forecast for field office expensesMonitor spending on each budget line item and assist the CFM to prepare the monthly BvA and update the spending planAssist Country Finance Manager to prepare the monthly financial reports, donor reports and any other reports as requiredAssist in reviewing expenditure of partner organisations on a monthly basis and work closely with partner organisation finance teams to share knowledge and build capacityMaintain and update personnel files of local staff in compliance with Relief International’s policiesEnsure Relief International Turkey is adherent to all applicable local Turkish labour laws and proactively monitor any changes to the rules and regulation to ensure continual complianceAs this is an Emergency Response programme, at times there will be the requirement to work additional hours and perform other tasks not detailed in this job descriptionAny other tasks as assigned by supervisorRequired Qualifications and Competencies:

Understanding of full-cycle accounting, including cash management, vouchering, and other accounting proceduresExperience using accounting software package and very good MS Excel skills. Knowledge of QuickBooks will be an advantageExperience of working with multiple stakeholders such as government, businesses and civil society actorsGood familiarity with Turkish Labour Laws and other local rules & regulationsProficient in planning, budgeting and financial managementGood interpersonal & communication skills in English. Knowledge of Turkish and/or Arabic will be an advantageAbility to work in a dynamic environment and to multi-task to meet deadlinesExcellent team player and ability to show initiativeEducated to Bachelor’s level in related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar.
