Position Purpose

Amnesty International India seeks to establish a supporter base of individual members across India who would fund our work and campaign with us to protect rights for all Indians. Our goal is to ensure that a bulk of our donors come from direct dialogue through various face-to-face programs such as residential canvassing, street fundraising, and local events. Through these contributions from individuals, we will endeavor in making India a more law-abiding, rights-respecting society, and we will work diligently to make sure that the funds have the impact we all wish – improving lives by ensuring human rights.

F2F Fundraising Principal Coordinator will lead, manage and be responsible for our small F2F fundraising teams ranging from 3 to 10 members. Together, they will be responsible for recruiting new members through personal, face-to-face interactions based on various campaigns launched by the organisation. F2F Fundraising Principal Coordinators will monitor the F2F Fundraising Executives and the F2F Team Leaders on a daily basis, manage and motivate the team members and be responsible for achieving monthly team targets. This position reports to the Membership Expansion Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Play active role in recruiting new members with a team of about 5-10 team executives.
  • · Responsible for daily monitoring and motivation of team members.
  • · Documenting and reporting results to the line manager, keeping track of statistics and monitoring achievements of each team leader and the team as a whole.
  • · Ensuring team members are well trained and informed and updated on work guidelines, principles, policies and campaigns.
  • · Assisting with recruitment and training of fundraising executives.
  • · Responsible for handling materials and forms and providing daily reports to the line manager.
  • · Achieving the set donor & income budgets every month.
  • · To ensure confidentiality of information
  • · Any other responsibility as assigned by the line manager

  • · Practical understanding of F2F fundraising techniques.
  • · Strong managerial, coordination and project management skills
  • · Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and to take a leadership role
  • · Excellent communication skills (English, Hindi and local languages- Tamil, Kannada).
  • · Cultural sensitivity – the ability to work effectively cross culturally and adapt communications style as needed to foster collaboration.
