Position Description
Dimagi is looking for Field Managers for our expanding work in India. We are looking for adventurous individuals with an eagerness to work with frontline workforces to deploy technologies designed to improve health care delivery and other services in urban and rural communities. As a Field Manager, you will travel extensively in India to help deploy CommCare, a mobile phone application for frontline workforces. We have an impressive range of partner organizations across 15 states in India working in the domains of health, agriculture, education, and more.
As a Field Manager you will travel to field sites to work with them and their health workers. Your work will include conducting trainings, designing mobile phone applications, conducting research, and providing support for the mobile phone https://www.commcarehq.org/ program CommCare. You will join our global team of Field Managers and share lessons learned and expertise from around the world. You’ll also receive regular mentorship and support our office in New Delhi.
Position Requirements & Qualifications
Our Field Manager program is designed for people seeking field experience. Field managers receive a salary of 6.59 L per annum and have all of their business travels related expenses reimbursed. We request a 1-2 year commitment, though employment is conditional upon our at-will employment agreement. We require English and Hindi fluency.
You must be an outstanding communicator and problem solver. Any technical skills, research experience, or fluency in other Indian or Nepali languages are pluses (note that even though you will be working with mobile phone applications, a background in computer programming is not necessary). Strong people management skills are also considered a bonus, though not required.
The profile of a candidate who will be happy in this position is someone who easily adapts to new environments, enjoys travel and field work, likes to tinker with things, and prefers independence and improvisation to super specific tasks.
