Minimum Qualifications:
BA with 6 - 8 years of experience OR MA/MBA with 3 years of experience OR PhD (Entry Level) OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Support SHOPS Regional Managers, Research Team and Activity Leads in financial and programmatic functions as needed to ensure activities are completed within appropriate timeframe and budget. Perform or may lead on technical and research-related tasks (data collection/analysis, developing briefs, report writing, etc.) for field-based programs. Create and regular monitor activity-level and country program budgets. Develop program and activity-level action plans and assist with resource planning. Assist in the development and management of agreements with consultants, subcontractors and partners as needed for activity implementation. Coordinate across and between headquarters and field project staff to ensure smooth implementation of activities and timely submission of country project deliverables including financial reports, workplans, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports, etc.
Skills Prerequisites:
- Master's degree required.
- Highly-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Two to three years related work experience.
- Solid computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database management, PowerPoint.
- Previous international experience and/or interest in pursuing a career in public health are desirable.
- Previous experience supporting international donor-funded programs (especially USAID) a plus.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Fluency in Spanish, French or Portuguese highly preferred.
