Chemonics seeks a relocation associate for the Household Effects Department of our Contracts Division. The associate will provide in-house moving and storage assistance to employees fielded on long-term assignments. The department uses a worldwide network of quality moving and storage vendors to ensure the highest level of service to our employees no matter the origin or destination of their move. We are looking for professionals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with supervisor to provide support on projects
- Supervise all aspects of household effects shipping and administration
- Train project management staff and consultants and their families on household effects storage and shipment
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, transportation, or other relevant area required
- Minimum two years of experience in the household effects and employee relocation industry
- Experience living or working in developing countries
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive relationships
- Flexibility, good judgment, and ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Willingness and ability to travel to developing countries
- Fluency in written and spoken English and a foreign language required; fluency in French preferred
- Permanent U.S. work authorization required
