Overview:

The Program Assistant supports the development and implementation of ISC’s fast-growing programs in the US, through the use of superior coordination, organization and communication skills associated with providing services to communities – especially cities – across the country.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support (e.g. meeting-scheduling, task tracking, and reporting) to the Director of Adaptation & Resilience Programs and to other US Program staff and various project partners.
• Provide logistical support for US programs, including coordinating travel and lodging arrangements for participants and staff in ISC events around the country.
• Conduct research to support program development; including compiling information for current and future projects, targeted outreach efforts, and constituent engagement opportunities.
• Work with US Team project leads and ISC communication team to produce periodic online and social media content for US Program projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in related area, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• One to three years of relevant work experience; additional related experience can substitute for formal educational qualifications
• Commitment to the ISC mission and goals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and effectively maintain systems
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite, Internet browsers, databases
• Ability to perform basic research using the internet and ISC systems, and to accurately summarize information and data
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Prior experience with nonprofit operations strongly preferred; substantive experience in sustainable development initiatives highly desirable.
