Role:
The Latin America and the Caribbean Program of International Crisis Group has an internship available for undergraduate or postgraduate students. Interns can volunteer either full-time or part-time for a suggested period of three to six months. We are currently looking for two interns available to start in May 2014.
Responsibilities:
The intern will provide assistance with:
- Basic research on social and political data;
- Drafting situation reports;
- Producing Latin America’s daily press dossier;
- Maintaining LAC contacts database;
- Assisting with the program’s communication and outreach strategy;
- Support to administrative work; and
- Candidates should be flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks and provide assistance to other program staff.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate/post-graduate studies in political and social sciences;
- Excellent verbal and written command of English and Spanish;
- Good knowledge of the Latin American region;
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet; and
- Highly motivated and responsible.
