Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil societies. ACDI/VOCA has approximately 70 projects in 35 countries and total revenues of approximately $173 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Project Assistant to provide administrative support to our project management and new business efforts. Responsibilities include: providing project-related support to field offices; providing general support to headquarters and overseas staff; maintaining project files; arranging travel; editing and formatting documents; processing expense reports, procurement and payment requests; arranging and scheduling meetings; assisting with proposals and conducting research. A Bachelor’s degree in international development, business, agriculture, finance, economics or a related field is required, as is previous exposure to international development topics and current affairs. Candidates must have experience in an administrative capacity; have strong oral, written, analytical and organizational skills; possess budget and analytical capabilities; and be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the use of the internet as a research tool. Fluency in English required. Fluency in French, Portuguese or Spanish preferred.
