CARE International is a leading humanitarian and development charity supporting the poorest communities in 84 countries around the world. Our aim is to bring sustainable and innovative solutions to complex poverty issues and last year we supported 997 poverty-fighting development and humanitarian aid projects to reach more than 83 million people.
We are seeking an experienced Editorial Content Manager to join our Communications team. You will be setting up and delivering an editorial service encompassing copywriting, copyediting and proofreading to ensure all CARE International UK’s print and digital content is of a high standard. You will be the main guardian of the CARE brand, creator of all non-news content on the CIUK website, and editor of all blogs that appear on our publications and policy hub, CARE Insights. You will also be responsible for producing our flagship publications including our annual report, and coordinating the design and print of our policy and advocacy publications.
If you have substantial experience of working as a copyeditor, including editing digital content, then we are very keen to hear from you. You will need superior writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience of brand guardianship and managing design and print production. You will be diplomatic and constructive, and have a persuasive manner when dealing with colleagues and suppliers.
