Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Chief of Party candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Feed the Future (“4A”) Agriculture Activity Project in Senegal. This is a full-time position.

The goal of the Feed the Future Initiative in Senegal is to sustainably reduce poverty and hunger, to improve equitable growth in the agriculture sector, and to improve the nutritional status of the Senegalese people. The 4A Agriculture Activity will target four main agricultural commodities that contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth and food security: rice, maize, millet and fish. The project will employ a holistic value chain approach to improve access to agricultural inputs including seed, increase production of targeted commodities, elicit broader application of best practices in soil management, improve post-harvest handling and processing practices, link producers/processors to markets, improve value chain actors’ access to credit and capitalize on related existing business opportunities.

Responsibilities: *Provide technical leadership in one or more of the following program areas: enhanced productivity, effective producer and trader association collaboration, post-harvest handling, value chain development, access to agricultural credit (DCA loan guarantee development and management), market information systems, and creating linkages to domestic, regional and international markets;*Assume responsibility for overall contract management ensuring quality control and timeliness of all deliverables;*Serve as principal liaison with USAID and other donor staff, collaborating local partners and a wide range of other stakeholders to exchange information and develop professional relationships;*Ensure effective financial management of project funds including budget development and efficient utilization of program staff and resources in complete compliance with USAID and Tetra Tech rules and regulations;*Ensure timely completion of technical activities and the timely completion of contractual technical reports and deliverables (Quarterly and Annual Reports, Annual Work Plans, Performance Monitoring Plan, etc.).

Qualifications: *A Master’s degree or other post-graduate degree in a relevant field; *Minimum of eight (8) years of project management experience, with previous USAID COP experience preferred;*Previous experience in at least two of the above mentioned technical areas and in-depth knowledge of at least one of the three targeted sub-sectors: rice, maize, millet, (marine) fish; *Minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressively responsible work experience in developing countries;*Senegalese candidates strongly encouraged to apply; and*Fluency in French and English are required.
