We currently have a vacancy for the post of Programme Funding Coordinator within our expanding Partner and Institutions department to lead on the proposal development in collaboration with relevant regional desks and field country programme teams reviewing the concept notes and proposals (including budget, log frame) to ensure the quality and compliance with the institutional donor guidelines. The post holder will also provide training to field staff to ensure that donor guidelines are adhered to and followed in the later phases of the project cycle. The candidate will need to plan and implement donor relationship strategies and proactively link up with donors such as DFID, ECHO, EC, SIDA, UNICEF, UNHCR, WFP and CIDA to pre-position the organisation for accessing funding.
The successful candidate must have a degree in International Development, project planning and a good understanding of global funding horizon and strategies of bilateral and multilateral donors (DFID, EC, SIDA, , UN, ECHO and their regulation, together with and knowledge of project management cycle including Logical Framework Approach. The ability to organise and work under pressure together whilst at times, changing priorities and meeting other deadlines. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and IT skills and experience within an INGO environment in similar roles.
