Switzerland: Fundraising and Engagement Internship

Shelter Centre is currently looking for a motivated Fundraising and Engagement Intern to join its young, dynamic and committed team. This role offers an opportunity to engage in an exciting work plan, involving exploration of new funding avenues, the development of proposals, and an overhaul of the organisation’s presentation.
Main responsibilities
- Draft funding proposals.
- Present Shelter Centre to potential funders / donors.
- Explore corporate sponsorship.
- Develop and maintain communication through social media.
- Conduct a desk-based research to identify new funding opportunities and innovative fundraising possibilities.
Required Experience:
- Ability to adopt the viewpoint of a potential funders or donors, identifying their priorities and motivations
- Confidence to be able to develop clear prose, putting across persuasive messages to potential funders and donors
- Fluent English (minimum Level C1 proficiency)
- Fluent French (desirable)
- Presentation skills and an ability to get a message across verbally
- Excellent research skills for identifying new funding opportunities
- Knowledge of and experience with Social Media
- Ability to act on own initiative
- Knowledge of desktop publishing is desirable, including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Job Duration: Minimum of 2 months
