We are looking for: A FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – YEMEN - Saana

Country: YEMEN - Saana

Length of Contract: 12 months from November, the 1st

Responsibilities: - Regularly conduct needs assessment and create up-to date understanding of humanitarian needs in Yemen with focus on ACF’s operational areas- Responsible for formulation of food security and livelihoods strategy and development of appropriate response - Conduct relevant mission-wide training in FSL related subjects for mission staff- Actively engage with all relevant actors at the national level (coordination mechanism)- Precise mapping of the actors having intervention in FSL and identification of potential link of partnership - Development of partnership if any- Follow-up and management of deputy Head of FSL department and FSL Programme Managers (in the field)- Timely follow-up on budget consumption, activities progress, & procurement of required materials

Qualification and previous experience: A degree in Agronomy, agriculture, anthropology, geography, international development or other fields relevant to urban/rural livelihoods with at least three years of field experience with NGOs in food security activities. Demonstrated experience managing complex operations in challenging contexts and excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Arabic would be an asset.

Status: Employee - Total average yearly gross income : from 44910€ to 51410€- Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French legislation.- All expenses paid on the field average per month: o Support to the R & R costs : 110€o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 285€o Per Diem : 189€- Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 (13rd month included), depending on relevant experience- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution- 25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of extra leaves per year- Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris
