Programme Development and Fundraising Manager (PDFM)
Contract: One Year Fixed Term Ref: PDFM/IPD-A/0913Salary: £27,540 per annum (Pending Review) Base Location: Sudan, Mali, Chad, Niger We are currently recruiting for a Programme Development and Fundraising Manager. The candidate will take a lead in development and implementation of IRW’s institutional funding strategy within the parameters set by the Global Institutional Funding Plan in the countries, and through this; support all parts of IRW to deliver on institutional funding targets; helping to successfully achieve milestone on funding set in the organisational funding strategy.
The candidate will select target communities with the support of the country team that s/he will assess in depth in the field. The PDFM will prepare a 3-5 years development plan for these communities based on the results of the assessments. Subsequently, the PDFM will be responsible to raise institutional funds for financing the development plan. You will provide support to Field Offices in delivery of effective programmes according to the Country Programme and Regional Strategies and raising the profile amongst Institutional Donors.
The successful candidate must have substantial experience of successful institutional funding in the last 3 years. The candidate will have a proven track record of successful proposal development for bilateral donors such as DFID, ECHO, Europe Aid, SIDA, CIDA, USAid etc. A University Post Graduate degree or equivalent experience in development/ humanitarian or in a relevant field. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing and planning development and humanitarian interventions with international NGOs at senior level. Excellent English, written and spoken is essential. Knowledge of a foreign language (Arabic or French) or the local language is desirable. Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
