The Asia Foundation is seeking a Deputy Country Representative for its Office in Sri Lanka. The Deputy Country Representative is a senior position, overseeing programs and operations funded by public and private donors. The Deputy Country Representative will oversee the Foundation’s operations, including financial, administrative, and personnel management, and oversee programs in the Foundation’s core areas of assistance: governance, civil society participation, and access to justice. The Deputy Country Representative also assists the Country Representative in representing The Asia Foundation with the Sri Lankan government, public sector institutions, civil society organizations, donors, and diplomatic missions.
Requirements: • Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience managing large international development programs and staff
• Program management experience in one of the Foundation’s core areas of assistance• Effective inter-personal skills and proven fund-raising ability• Demonstrated proposal and report-writing ability• Excellent management, analytical, and interpersonal skills • Advanced degree in one of the social sciences or law or policy studies
