The Asian Development Bank - Independent Evaluation Department (IED) is looking for an International Qualitative Impact Evaluation Specialist for Impact Evaluation of ADB-Supported Interventions in Bangladesh's Secondary Education Sector. The consultant will be working with a Senior Evaluation Specialist in IED for 60 input days from September to November 2013 on an intermittent basis.
Objective and Purpose of Assignment:
To carry out a high quality and rigorous assessment of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) contribution to enhancing the quality of (i) teaching, (ii) course curricula, and (iii) student assessment in Bangladesh’s secondary education subsector.
Scope of Work:
An international Qualitative Impact Evaluation Specialist will be recruited to lead a primarily qualitative impact evaluation to rigorously assess the extent to which the quality of (i) teaching; (ii) the curriculum; and (iii) student assessment has changed in Bangladesh’s secondary education sector in recent years, as well as the primary factors responsible for any change that has been evidenced to have taken place. The Consultant will be expected to undertake two data collection missions to Bangladesh.
