We are an international center of expertise for TB control that stimulates effective, efficient and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context. We are an organization of passionate TB professionals; including medical doctors, researchers, training experts, nurses and epidemiologists.

Over the past century we have built a wealth of knowledge and expertise, initially by successfully driving back TB in the Netherlands, and subsequently by partnering in the fight against TB in over 40 countries worldwide.

We operate from a central office in The Hague in the Netherlands, regional offices and additional country offices worldwide (240 employees worldwide). KNCV raises funds from individual, institutional and corporate donors.

Purpose of the position and organizational position

You provide high quality, consistent and professional advice on Human Resource policies and procedures to managers and employees across the whole organization including the country offices. You support the Head of HRM in development, implementation and monitoring of the HRM policies and on HRM project initiatives.

The international HRM Advisor reports to the Head of the HRM team and is a member of the management support unit.

Profile

As International HRM Advisor you will:

  • Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and (international) employees in a full range of HRM activities.
  • Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures appropriate for all offices.
  • Provide effective, reliable and consistently high level recruitment advice and support to managers.
  • Manage the administrative aspects of recruitment of (inter)national staff working in the country offices and central office.
  • Assist the Head HRM in developing and implementing HRM projects.
  • Work with the HRM Officer to manage the (expat) administration, further develop the HRM database, and collect management data.

You are expected to travel.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years professional experience in an international HRM position
  • Qualification in HRM (bachelor/ master degree)
  • Knowledge of expat administration
  • Knowledge of the Dutch labor law
  • Good numerical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
