OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The Cleaner and Kitchen hand will provide high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the camp and developing routines to ensure all areas are maintained to high standard cleanliness
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
- Clean the accommodation, dining facility, offices and compound area.
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
- Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
- Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
- Suction cleaning carpeted areas and spot cleaning
- Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
- To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
- Replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 6 months experience as cleaner previously is mandatory
- Minimum of higher secondary education certificate is required
- Ability to operate in adverse and harsh conditions.
- Must have the ability and understanding to be able to safely eradicate any pests, insects or rodent infestation within the accommodation, kitchen dining areas.
- Minimum of higher secondary education certificate is required
- The accommodation and office mostly consists of hard wall accommodation, pre-fabricated accommodation and office containers.
LANGUAGES
- Excellent communication and written skills in English.
